JUIÀ CASTLE

The Castle of Juià has its origins in the 11th and 12th centuries, although an earlier defense structure probably already existed. Its location is strategic and is linked to the other castles in the area, which formed a line of protection against possible attacks that could take place from the plain. The structure retains several original walls, and due to a fire in the 15th century, which resulted in the collapse of several rooms, it has been possible to preserve several elements that were left under the ruins.
